Email support@clipmento.app. Include your device, operating-system version, Clipmento version, and the steps that led to the problem. Share screenshots only after removing private content.
Mac: find and reuse a copy
Finish the welcome guide, copy something in another app, then press ⌘Escape or open Clipboard History from the menu bar. Search or choose a filter. Return copies the selection. Switch to your destination and press ⌘V. ⌥Return copies plain text.
Mac: history is empty
Check whether recording is paused, the source app is excluded, or its content type is disabled. Clipmento skips recognized sensitive clipboard markers. If macOS offers a Paste from Other Apps permission setting for Clipmento, review it in System Settings. Clipmento cannot override a denied system permission.
Mac: files or image text are unavailable
Keep the original file available and copy it again from Finder to refresh permission. File history is not a backup. Recognition depends on supported formats, image quality, language, and configured size limits; some images contain no recognizable text.
Mac: change shortcuts or recover a hidden menu icon
Launch Clipmento again from Applications to open Settings. Change the shortcut or show the menu bar icon there. Login-item behavior is controlled by macOS; if requested, approve Clipmento in System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions.
Mac: purchases and updates
Use the Mac App Store account that purchased Clipmento to download it again or install updates. There is no Clipmento license key. Apple handles purchase receipts and refund requests through Report a Problem.
Earlier local development versions
The App Store edition uses a separate sandbox data folder. An earlier development copy's history remains in its original Application Support folder. Contact support for migration guidance before changing either folder; do not run both versions at once.
Android: save and reuse something
Finish the welcome guide, then tap Paste, write a note or snippet, choose an image, or use another app's Share menu and choose Clipmento. Background clipboard recording is not used. Open a saved item to copy or share it. Android and the receiving app control what happens to that copy.
Android: library limits and deletion
Use Settings to select a history duration. The default is 30 days; pins and snippets remain until you delete them. Clear history has a separate option to include pins and snippets. The library keeps up to 500 ordinary items and 100 images, with limits of 20 MB per image and 100 MB for all images. Expired history is removed when you open or use the app. Imported images are private copies; deleting them does not delete their originals.
Android: backup and purchases
Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled for Clipmento's library. Uninstalling or clearing app storage removes it. Use Google Play for updates and download restoration when the Android edition is available; reinstalling does not restore a deleted local library.
