Find that useful copy

Search text, images, file references and snippet names. Filter by content type when you know what you are looking for.

Read the words in an image

Search supported images by recognized text, preview them, and copy the words you need. Text recognition runs on your Mac.

Keep the good bits

Pin an important item or give reusable text a snippet name. Your saved favourites stay until you remove them.

Copy, choose, paste

Press ⌘Escape to open history, then Return to copy your selection. Switch to your destination and paste with ⌘V. Use ⌥Return for plain text.

Decide what stays

Pause recording, exclude apps, choose content types and set retention periods. You control how much history you keep.

Keep it on your Mac

Your clipboard history stays in the macOS app sandbox. No Clipmento account, advertising or cloud sync is involved.

Which Macs can run Clipmento?

Clipmento supports Intel and Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later.

Does it paste automatically?

Return copies your selected item. You choose the destination and paste with ⌘V. Clipmento does not need Accessibility or keyboard-monitoring permission.

Is my clipboard history encrypted?

It is stored locally inside the macOS app sandbox with restricted file permissions. Clipmento does not add its own database encryption. Protect your Mac with a login password, FileVault and appropriate backup settings.

Will it save passwords?

Clipmento skips recognized sensitive clipboard markers supplied by cooperating apps. It cannot detect every secret, so pause recording or exclude apps when copying sensitive information.

Can it see copies from my iPhone?

When Apple’s Universal Clipboard makes supported content available on your Mac, Clipmento can record it according to your settings. It does not provide its own device sync or an iPhone app.

Does it back up copied files?

No. It keeps file references and permission bookmarks. The original file must remain available; copy it again from Finder if its location or access changes.

Where will Clipmento be available?

The Mac edition is being prepared for the Mac App Store. The official store link will appear here after release.
